Since 2016, six Institutes working in the field of humanities, social sciences and cultural studies based in Lower Austria have been cooperating at the Research Network of Interdisciplinary Regional Studies (Forschungsnetzwerk Interdisziplinäre Regionalstudien - first) in order to work on interdisciplinary research projects regarding socially relevant topics.
